	Pharmacy Pharmacists play an important critical role in insuring cost effective and appropriate medication therapy for all patients at JMH. In addition to the traditional medication dispensing and compounding responsibilities that pharmacists have, there are additional responsibilities that involve many other facets of patient care. The Hospital is committed to using state of the art technology to insure the best medication therapy for its patients. The pharmacy uses an elaborate computer system to track every medication that patients are taking. The computer checks for appropriate dosages, patient allergies, and drug-to-drug interactions, and warns the pharmacist before they occur. In addition, the hospital has computerized automated dispensing machines on all units. This is a faster, more accurate method for medication administration by our nursing staff.
